Botanical Drawing at
Walpole Garden
Slow down, look closely, and discover the beauty of plants through drawing

Hello Neighbor,
Join me for a relaxed neighborhood drawing gathering at Walpole Garden. We'll slow down, observe native plants up close, and draw what we see. No pressure to be 'good at drawing' - just a chance to connect with nature, meet your neighbors and let your mind quiet for a while.
Come for five minutes or stay as long as you like.

Walpole Garden Labyrinth
• All levels welcome
• No experience needed
• Materials welcome or provided
• Curious kids and adults welcome
We'll gather in the stone labyrinth for a short introduction.
I'll share tips on seeing and sketching plants.
We'll wander the garden and draw at a relaxed pace.
Note: This is not an official event of the city or Friends of Terwilliger. It is not a private event. It is an invitation to come outside and interact with others/me. I am an artist. What helps me deal with the intense barrage of hard news is making art.
It is my wish to share this with others - among others.
Together we are stronger.

Learning to See at Walpole Garden
Walpole Garden is named for Frederick Walpole (1861~1904); a botanical illustrator who devoted his life to understanding plants through careful observation.
We'll honor his spirit by learning to see with the eyes of an artist. Learn about Frederick Walpole

Can't make it Sunday?
